Overview
One of the most significant Hindu temples in Sri Lanka, dedicated to Lord Murugan. The original temple was founded in the 10th century but the current structure dates back to the 15th century, built by Sapumal Kumaraya (who later became King Bhuvanaikabahu VI of Kotte) during his administration of the Jaffna Kingdom.
